STEM in the Community Youth Workshops

The STEM in the Community Youth Workshop has been designed to introduce young Queenslanders aged 12 to 17 years to in-demand STEM skills and industries. The workshops will focus on innovation and creativity in computer hardware and software and will highlight industries such as engineering and advanced manufacturing. The workshops will begin with program facilitators introducing participants to a specific skill or industry, followed by an opportunity for participants to identify a local community problem and brainstorm a STEM-based solution. The workshop will conclude with participants presenting their solutions through a pitch to a panel of guest judges, which will include local STEM leaders and scientists.
