Ready to be your own boss or enter the workforce? Then Creating Your Future Job is for YOU! This 8-week program is designed by young people for young people aged 15-24 living in Moreton Bay who are ready to start a micro-business or enhance their employability skills.
Maybe you’ve been struggling to find a job that fits.
Maybe you feel like the typical Aussie workplace just isn’t for you.
Maybe you have a brilliant idea that’s just waiting to be unleashed.
Maybe you’re facing barriers to traditional employment like finding a job that fits your needs or navigating the challenges of the modern workplace.
Whatever your reason, the Creating Your Future Job program can help you turn your dreams into the “job” of your dreams.
Program Topics

We’ll help you identify your passions and turn them into profitable business ideas. We’ll guide you through the process of setting up your business, from business planning to product development to marketing and sales.

We’ll help you understand all the ins and outs of finances when it comes to business to ensure your idea can grow.

We’ll teach you how to effectively communicate you and your business. You’ll develop public speaking skills – skills that will benefit you for life.

Present your ideas to potential investors and mentors. This is your chance to gain critical feedback and possibly secure support for your venture.

Each week of CYFJ will be delivered by our high energy facilitators in one-on-one and group settings.

CYFJ is designed to equip young people with the essential skills, knowledge and opportunities needed for self-employment or employment. Through a series of intensive workshops, participants will develop and refine essential life skills, connect with industry leaders, learn how to start a micro-business if they’re interested or build a portfolio for employment.

We have developed an online platform, Space, which program participants will receive complimentary access to. Space features monthly mentoring and support to help you continue to develop your business ideas, and course content to learn new skills and build your knowledge.

No, you do not need to have a business or have been employed to apply. CYFJ is designed to help you develop and refine your business concepts or equip you with the skills needed for your future career.

No! Thanks to our partnership with Moreton Bay City Council, we are able to provide these valuable sessions at no cost to participants. However spots are extremely limited and through application process only.

Absolutely! You are welcome to apply with a friend. Who knows, you might discover that you make great co-founders. Applying together can also provide additional motivation and support as you navigate the program.
