Creating Your Future Job Moreton Bay

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the Creating Your Future Job (CYFJ) program in Moreton Bay in partnership with the City of Moreton Bay. This program is designed to help young people by providing them with the essential skills, knowledge and network to start a micro-business to make an income.

Self-employment offers a viable and flexible career path for young people, putting them in control of their own futures and allowing them to create jobs based on their areas of interest or passion.

Participant Requirements: We ask that you commit to attending at least 80% of the in-person sessions in order to get the most out of the program. We encourage young people aged 15-24 in Moreton Bay who are interested in business or starting one!

Cost: Thanks to the generous support of City of Moreton Bay, participation in the program is free of charge. However, spots are extremely limited and will be allocated through an application process below.

Over the course of the program, participants will attend a combination of group sessions and one-on-one mentoring designed to:

💡 Develop and refine business ideas.
💰 Gain financial literacy to manage and scale a business and have the opportunity to generate income through group businesses.
🎤 Improve public speaking and pitching skills.
🛎️ Learn the essentials of customer service.
🌟 Enhance emotional intelligence for better leadership.
🦈 Experience a Shark Tank-style pitching session.

Food + snacks will be provided each week for participants.

  • Each week of CYFJ we will have a group session, delivered by our high energy facilitator Andre. The one-on-one mentoring each week is run by Marty Clay, successful business owner and mindset coach.

  • CYFJ is designed to fast-track young entrepreneurs by equipping them with the essential skills, knowledge, and networking opportunities needed to launch and grow a micro-business. Through a series of intensive workshops, participants will develop and refine micro-business ideas, gain financial literacy, improve public speaking and pitching skills, enhance emotional intelligence, and participate in a Shark Tank-style pitching session.

  • We have developed an online platform, Space, which program participants will receive complimentary access to. Space features monthly mentoring and support to help you continue to develop your business ideas, and course content to learn new skills and build your knowledge.

  • No, you do not need to have a business idea to apply. CYFJ is designed to help you develop and refine your business concepts. Whether you have an idea or are looking to explore potential opportunities, our workshops will support you in every stage of your entrepreneurial journey.

  • No! Thanks to our partnership with City of Moreton Bay, we are able to provide these valuable sessions at no cost to participants. However spots are extremely limited and through application process only.

  • Absolutely! You are welcome to apply with a friend. Who knows, you might discover that you make great co-founders. Applying together can also provide additional motivation and support as you navigate the program.

  • Once you’ve sent in your application, we may reach out to have a quick chat with you on your application and aspirations for CYFJ. After that, we’ll send you all the details you need to get started. Due to the high demand, if we can't have you in this cohort we’ll let you know too.
